Pulsar180 DTSi V1
A brief history: As many biking enthusiasts must be knowing, the 180V1 puts up a stiff competition to the Karizma. Thats why I bought the bike in 2004 Dec. My plans were to buy the p180 in 2005 (keeping in mind resale and finance ;P) But the V2 was going to be launched anytime. I didnt care much for the mag wheels, etc but I didnt want to skimp out on performance either. Some may call me foolish, but I pre-poned my decision and bought what may be the last Pulsar 180 V1 ever sold (when I could have waited a week and got a 180V2).
Till 2008/09, there was no production bike which was not in reach of the P180 V1. Thats why I was satisfied with it. But since the past 1 year, I've had my eyes on the R15 and the P220 and have finally decided on the latter.
About the Bike: To say the bike is well maintained is an understatement. It still clocks a speedo read of 130kmph @ 9300rpm. Though brand new, it did a good 135. I'm selling it because I'm upgrading to a P220.
I'll put up a short report card, so to say.
1. Well Maintained Engine
2. Mileage : 47-49 in city riding
3. Top Speed of 130kmph
4. Serviced only at authorised service stations
5. The bike has been used in Chandigarh
6. No crashes (touchwood)
7. Consumables such as air filters, clutchplates etc have been changed as and when asked at the service centre
8. Completely Stock Bike
9. Tyres (Zapper FV & Zapper Q) have been changed only 5000kms earlier
10. Insurance is paid till Dec 2010.
