Gisborne had early morning showers. As a result it was chilly and I was leaving around 8 AM. I stopped in Gisborne at a BP petrol pump which had a Burger King outlet. The breakfast constituted a burger and a fruit drink. Todays route was Gisborne – Wairoa – Napier – Waipawa – Dannevirke – Eketahuna – Masterton The road from Gisborne to Wairoa was extremely gnarly to say the least. It has so many twists and turns that it would seem fit for a mountain MotoGP. I stopped over in Napier and had a look at Lonely Planet for a nice place to do internet. I found one and had Turkish Kebabs while updating the trip blogs in mid way of a daily ride! Most internet cafes allow you to connect your laptop to a high speed access for around $3 and hour.
