Cant believe we did the ride in mid April. One evening in the office, it just started with a joke to go to Vizag on bikes when the sun was
really harsh on both the cities. But somehow people got a lil serious with this thought. Initially 10-12 people got ready and got excited
about the trip but slowly the count came to 4. We had to start off some Saturay morning but till friday we werent really sure about the trip.
The trip needed few 100 kms ride on the highway and we didnot have any great riding gears except helmets and gloves. And Hyderabad isnt a
great place to find these items. But we had to manage someway. All we could get for ourselves were a set of protection gear for skating

.
Now that sounds stupid I know, but something was better than nothing. All set and done (may be) and we started at 5:00 AM in the morning.
Still was kinda unbelievable for us that we are heading to Vizag at this time of year. And we took off..
We had 2 Karizmas and were 4 guys. Below was the route we took
Hyderabad - Khammam - Rajamundry - Vizag
Unfortunately there was some traffic from Hyd - Khammam and the bikes were really slow that time. The roads were pretty good from Khammam -
Rajamundry. Both bikes were at great speed but the moment we were out of Rajamundry and hit the NH-5, the road was simply amazing. Its nearly
a 240 kms strech till Vizag. This road is a paradise for fast bikers in India. The road was wide and traffic was minimal. Both bikes were at
a consistent 115-120 kmph for nearly an hour. Trust me guys even a speed of 120kmp feels less for this road. You would be tempted to want
more from your bike.
We finally reached Vizag @05:30 PM. Made the trip in time despite the traffic in the Khammam route. Thanks to NH5. Hotel was already booked
so didnt have a problem with it. That evening we just spent time at the beach eating ice creams

. The otherday morning we started for
Araku. Its nearly 60 kms from Vizag. The view, the ghats, the scene and the turns were really amazing. One great location to visit near Araku
is Chaapa Rai and some garden(forgot the name). But guys dont get ga ga over the scenes in Araku that you wouldnt have time for Borra caves
as we did. Yup we couldnot cover Borra caves as it gets closed by 05:30 PM and we reached by 05:45 PM. Do find time to cover evrything when
you go there. There is some great waterfall near Borra too.. dont exactly remember the name.
Stay at Araku....
Guys if you plan to stay at Araku, then I really recommend the Haritha Resorts (AP Tourism). The place is really beautiful. The resort is
built on the top a mountain. Your rooms will be on the edge of the mountain. If you stand in the balcony and look down you see no land, but a
deep valley. And the sun will rise through the mountains right infront of you. I guess the room rent for 2 bedroom is Rs. 1400 but the guys
will allow extra persons with a charge of Rs. 100 for each.
Though we were really tempted to stay at that place but had to return to Vizag as we had to cover most parts of Vizag the other day. In the
nights the ghat was really dark. Araku is nearly 3400 feet above sea level so we had to ride the same amount downhill. Its gets a lil scary
with no noise and no light. Finally we reached Vizag and were done with the day. And again spent time at the beach with crabs and ice-creams

.
Next day we covered few places in Vizag like Rishikonda beach, Bhimli beach(this road was amazing), Kailashgiri.. and few others. So we were finally done with our trip.
The next day we started early in the morning and reached Hyderabad by 6:00 PM.
One Helluva ride that was. This trip was the best bike trip ever. I had taken off my jacket in the ride and when I returned I looked no less than Char Coal

. I still carry some of the tan now but the tan was worth the trip.
