I didn't only mention that u need to ride slowly to extract out good mileage...but i had also mentioned abt the care of the bike...!! Regular servicing is a bliss to the bike....
Also, little bursts here and there dont affect the mileage much(coz i have seen my friend ripping bike many times, but still he used to get good/healthy mileage bcoz of the kind of maintainence he follows....)...!!
