Hey,
I've brought my bike From Delhi to Chennai in train as a luggage. It costs around 2.5k including packing etc.
I had previously took it from Delhi to B'lore and back to Delhi in train as well. Its always little risky and I was lucky both the times. But from my personal experience I can say that even movers & packers are also risky. The insurance money couldn't be compared with the damage.
I'll get my bike from station in a day or two and I hope I be lucky again
