i wud recommend doing wheelie in first only as it is way more slower ,and as the limit of speed is less in 1 st gear the bike won't get above a certain speed while Wheeling .
Lets be practical no one wud be able to get to balance point in few attempts u really need to develop balls for riding wheelies in 2nd and that too at balance point.
So what happens is guys start giving more and more power in 2nds as the start pulling the bike up and then gradually the speed also gets increased and then at the time of landing it can get really scary sometimes.

so if u guys take my advice,do wheelies in first ,right now i can manage a comfortable 4oo mts in first gear in half old wheelies with some amount of breaking and thats "the" best way of doing wheelie,no matter which wheelies.

Just remember few things:
1.Lift the bike at low really low speeds around 10 .
2.keep ur tyre pressure around 10-15 psi in tubless or 20 psi in tyres with tube.
3.always cover the rear brake.
4.concentrate on the angle, the higher the better, and not on the length,as higher the angle more will be length and lesser wud be the speed.
5.try to ride with a comfortable position, dont be stiff while doing wheelies. It wont help,be relaxed.Remember u need to adjust with bike ,the bike wont adjust with u.

Possibilities in first gear are limitless so just concentrate on first gear itself, and u can go kms in first too.

Just Remember :
THE HIGHER THE BETTER,THE SLOWER THE SEXIER
