It depends on mode of import, manufacture localization, etc... Too many factors for a mere mortal like me to predict correct.
However, if a 60% localisation method like R15 is used, then of course it might be lot cheaper than we expect. But, such release requires a lot of research & experimentation.

i dont think this info is accurate, if yamaha even localize 60% of the R6 parts it still wont be cheap, the bike will still cost ard 6-7lcs, first for yamaha to make R6 parts here is a joke, too much investment in the factory setup & machines especially in these times of recession, Yamaha know that if they do all this effort & make R6 for india it wont sell, sorry to say this but 95% of bikers in india use bikes to commute, this is INDIA they know it, last thing yamaha wants is to take stupid risks, they might come with a 250cc MAX eg r25 or fz250 but regardin the R6 just forget it, it wont happen,
