Only a 2007 or couple more titles won't do.. there's a lot to be achieved. His brilliance came out with Ducati, though he gave glimpses of talent earlier but there's nothing much to show before Ducati.. the 125 & 250 days were average & so was his first year in MotoGP with Satellite Honda.

Yes, it will take a lot for Stoner to be considered in the same league as Rossi but you cannot belittle what hes' done so far in the premier class.
He's won the most number of races in the 800cc era (17 IIRC). He's had a perfect start to this years campaign, so lets see how it goes but whatever happens I'm rooting for Melandri on the Kawasaki
