it doesn't lacks that extra 6 th cog b'coz FZ is more for city, can u ride 100+ in city traffic
in city conditions, once in a while i get open roads when returning late from office... at that time, i feel 80 is doable... but the engine just seems to tire after arnd 60.. maybe its coz of the run in and may be its coz i start feeling vibes n i ease my wrist. going to get it serviced this weekend.. hope to really get to kno my FZ after that.

i dont really mean to go over 100 in the city (thats hardly my decision) but on short highways rides, it would b fun to reach three figures.

Hey bro,,,why are still stoping ur bike from going above 5000 rpm....

the manual clearly says the do not have prolonged use above 6000 rpm after 5ookm till 1000km ......

and wid 6000rpm in 5th cog u can easly reach 75-80 kmph.....

just try it dude...and dont underuse ur engine....
yea i read the manual.. it says till 6k is ok. but i have read in umpteen number of posts about run ins that the speed must b checked.. for that reason i limit it to 5k, speeds already reach 60 if kept at 5k for a lil while.

any one else having probs like this
i have felt this too.. from 2nd, it goes to neutral n stays there, duznt get to the 1st gear without releasing n engaging the clutch once.

once i was going down a slope of about 1 meter length n i wanted to shift to the 1st (After slowing down), but it didnt engage. i lost my balance. luckily the slope ended near a gate n i fell on the gate while still sitting on the bike ... the bike didnt topple over, but i bruised my elbow on the gate.

initially i thought this was a safety feature included so that in case the rider wants to stop at a signal, the bike wont go into 1st from N like it does so effortlessly in a unicorn... but it is kind of a pain

same here.. in fact, now riding any other bike feels really weird coz the handlebars feel so short.. i rode my roomy's RTR after a looong time recently, and i was really uncomfortable handling it... FZ is too comfortable
