Kevin the nalah you are refering to is KANGLA JAL.
Its the water crossing just before Pangong Tso which is known as Pagal Nalah.
Let me also give you guys a quick peak for this season which has barely started...
few of my friends flew to LEH for the last week of April.
They rode (some hired bikes from LEH) to Khardungle Top which obviously was all snowed, according to them there was some water and a lot of ice (probably black ice). Army men advised them not to cross K Top and go in any further to Nubra, unless they get them a Four Wheeler probably Scorpio.
They then drove (hired Scorpio) to Pangong Tso. Fortunately Pagal Nalla was all frozen and they just drove over it 
, there were no tents or accomodation what so ever on Pangong Tso, locals told them barely a week ago the whole Pangong Tso Lake was frozen.

So guys just hold your breath for a little while till the Gates to heaven open for us.... Inshallah.
