The Clip Ons that I have are mounted on a plate which rests above the front shock absorber bolts.. Also, the clip ons I chose are not completely flat, but have a short vertical stork & then the handle which slants downward. The end result was that the handles are now lower than the stock handles fitted by HH but not too low so as to cause discomfort to the rider's wrist, back etc. Whilst comparing the width of the stock handles by HH, mounting clip on's has also resulted in the total width of the handles being reduced which suits riding the bike especially in congested traffic conditions.
Note: The clip on handles that are available cannot be mounted directly from the shock absorber in the Zma as the one can do on a CBZ etc. as the distance between the shock absorber nuts in both bikes are different. If one wanted to do this you would need to drill new holes in the clip on plate & then mount it.. Messy! Wonder why HH changed the distance?
