^ Intel Pentium 4 and DDR1. His motherboard has definitely got an AGP slot. Can't be a PCI-e slot.

outworldly maniac, the consoles are meant for one purpose that is playing games, while a PC is a general-purpose tool. The games made for the consoles are made so they run fine on the consoles. Rather than the hardware being optimised for the games, the games are optimised for the hardware! (For us PC owners we do the reverse and pay lots of $$s for it too)
So that is why the graphics look great (but if we compare graphics for a game available on both PC and consoles, the PC always looks better).
