Whatever you do, just keep one thing in mind-don't use harsh stuff like kerosene too often, else the chain will turn permanently black.
i have the manual for r1 ,r6 ,fz1 all states use kerosene for cleaning the chain,i was shocked to see our indian manual says dont use it,
