recently did Bangalore to Delhi via the GQ
though this route is longer and still has couple of bad patch whr construction is going on, i would still say pick this one
Plenty of dhabas, lodges, hotels too catch a nap or rest at any hour of the day. The only strecth where u will encounted traffic is in Mumbai. But if planned accordingly Mumbai can be passed at atime when traffic is low.
Very safe, very fast and good scenery
Min time reqd for a safe journey should be around 3 days
