Just went through all 52 pages of this thread. Phew ! However I wasnt able to clear my doubts which I had when I started reading this thread. Apologies in advance for the large number of questions
My ride
R15
My requirements
I dont ride too much in the nights, if I do & its a well lit road I tend to ride with the pilot lamps on. If the road isnt that well lit, then I switch to low beam and it isnt that often that I use high beam. Nonetheless I do know that the lighting on the R15 is piss poor & I do not want to be stuck riding slowly because of the weak lighting if the situation arises that I have to do a bit of night riding (it has happened in the past). So I want to upgrade my lights.
My questions
1. Is it possible to improve the (marginal) lighting of the pilot lamps by changing them ? If so is there any model in particular that I can change it to ? Asking more out of curiousity.
2. Based on my requirement & what I have read over 52 pages I feel an Osram NB is something that I am looking for. Is it possible to fit it on the R15 ?
3. If 2 is a yes, is it a straight fit or does anything else need to be done ?
4. If not the Osram NB then what else is present in the market for the R15 ?
5. Will fitting an Osram NB or a Philips light or an HID null the warranty provided by Yamaha ?
6. Are there any potential drawbacks of using a NB on the R15 ?
7. Where do guys in Blore get the fitting of the lights done ? Any reputed mechanic / place ?
Thanks in advance guys.
