Make no mistake here, there's going to be no benefit to performance modders, except for
maybe being able to swap the exhaust muffler. Any changes that let more air into the cylinders, like K&N air filters, will still require a reprogrammed ECU, since the lambda sensor can only adjust within certain limits. For situations where you're driving with a large throttle opening, it still runs open loop. (It ignores the feedback from the sensor.) And this is where enough fuel really matters.
