my take on this is that there is got to be more to it, i mean this cant be a case of tax evasion only. Had it been that i am sure it would have not been difficult for the owner to find a buyer who would be willing to take the bike for a fraction of the original price even if it meant that the bike came without any papers. The fact that the bike has simply been dumped could mean that it might have been stolen or involved in some accident....
PS: just a thought how many of us xbhpian's would be willing to buy such a bike for say a lakh or so assuming the bike is not involved in accident and is only a case of duty evasion?
i wud have gladly bought and kept it in my farm house in punjab.
