Newbie Induction Ride
Delhi - Shimla
29-30 November 2009
Day 1
It started at 3 am when petro gave me a call at 2:45am saying are you ready for the ride, “I told him can’t even sleep properly in excitement” so we decided to meet at maharani bagh fly walk at 3:45am,before leaving home I give a call to Aryan Da that I am coming he said “ok come I am waiting” called Jasmeet he didn’t pick up the call anyways called Champ switched off I was like what is going on,I called Psycho Mc “he picked up he said I am in toilet coming there”.So me and Ptero reached at south extension petrol pump at 4:10am where Aryan Da and Ken Da were waiting for us, I saw Shivi bhai, Addy and Raktim there come to see off us, at 4:20 Psycho Mc arrived and after 5 minuets Champ arrived. Now everybody was there except Jasmeet, here Ken Da told us how and what all we should do and on what basis we will be graded.Aryan da and Ken da give us a form which was on info of a rider.So we all filled that form there only and handed back to our Mods. Before leaving tricks and tips where given by our respected Mods so we headed towards NH 1 border where Jasmeet was waiting for us we stopped at under the bridge we all waited there for 5mins then Ken da ask me to call our rider so I called him he told me that he is standing where there is no light everybody laughed that he should have stand where there was light, anyways we met him give him the form as said there was no light so I turn my bike lights on so he can fill the form. Here Mods told us that this is your trip you have to decide what to do when, we get together and planed further trip who will lead, what speed to maintain, hand signals and many more with proper hand signals and speed we reached Karnal toll take a breather there started again at outskirts of panipat Petro told his gear leaver is gone at that time luckily his bike was in 5th gear ,no shops was open. We reached Ambala at 8am and there we all decided that we should take a break at a dhaba, now another 30min of ride,we reach outskirts of Ambala saw a dhaba and stopped to have a blast on parathas everyone was shivering and my finger tips where blue they were paining but anyways it happens.This was our first food break after 240kms of riding we smashed 12 parathas and a tee 30-40mins of break after dhaba we all stop at a petrol pump there I, Psycho Mc and Aryan Da with a beast (R1) refilled the machines, after refilling reached Punchkula at 11am search for bajaj workshop and after 15kms of here and there we found a workshop, start again at 12pm.
Reached Kalka at 1pm here Ken Da divide us in 2-2-2 group 1st group was me and Champ, 2nd group Petro and Physo 3rdgroup Ken Da and Jasmeet, Aryan Da was neutral he was on R1.At Kalka before going Ken da told every one that stop 4km before Solan so me and Champ reach there well but I feel drop in power due to altitude or inclination that is common, I was leaning but not cornering due to less power or speed in odo. We all meet at solon where ken da told us here I ask Ken da that can I ride with you he said ok but anyhow can’t cope up with him due less power and torque so rode 25-30 km alone with a constant speed of 45-55kmph reach at a point where Aryan da, ken da , Jasmeet , Physo_Mc, Petro where waiting for me and Champ remember I told I was behind due less power and torque other wise no problem in skills after reaching there I took off with Aryan da and Ken da reach Shimla at 2:30pm wait for other to arrive there after waiting 15min all four arrived. Ken da took us to a hotel named Holiday Home, we took 3 rooms there it was decided that everybody should get ready till 3:30 then we all will go out for masti and all eat good heavy lunch see mall road but must say climbs to mall road where heavy on me I was saying my clutch plates will burn, Jsmeet was saying don’t want to eat lunch lets go back, but still he have to because we all were hungry discussed all does and don’t with each other riding experience and the weaknesses of each and everyone, at 7:30pm it was getting cold so we all decided to have dinner this time Chinese en-rout restaurant we saw a pastry shop there we took 7 chocolate pastry and 2 fruit cake for morning, after having superb dinner at 8:30pm we head back to our hotel it was like 12am in shimla and 8:30pm in my watch lol .Everyone decided to sit in Aryan da and Ken da room where we all cracked some jokes and click some snaps there Ken da showed us some bikes pics asked its name but unfortunately no one could give right name accept brand name of that bike due to its trademark color Green…lol, Ken da and Aryan da told us that we all should leave room at 7am in morning and at 7:30am we should be back on our respected bikes. At 10pm it was the time to sleep so everyone in there respected rooms. I took a shower and gone for sleep this was the end of Day 1.
