i basically use the pass light function to let the other rider know i am going to overtake him.
i also flash it at people who try to cross the highway amidst heavy and fast traffic..to let them know that..they better stay where they are until the coast is clear..!
P.S. i also use the horn almost every time i use the pass light function..!
