It would definitely serve you more than 5 years if you take good care of the machine..
One bad thing about Pulsar is it drinks oil, so after 1k of riding after an engine oil change, you need to check for oil level regularly every 500kms and top up if required. Many of the pulsar's parts go for a toss because of overheating and this overheating is caused by none other than less amount of oil.
My advise is go for P220 as its king of most of the trades except for vibrations where zma betters it any day.. And vibrations doesnt mean that a p220 will shake you off the bike and drop you to ground .. its just that its more than a zma and is very much in tolerable limits.
Anyways, long term maintainance is not a problem buddy, as the P220 parts are cheaper, After 50k kms (Assuming you'll clock that much in next 4-5 years) you can rebuild the whole engine for say 15k rupees and use it for another 50k kms..
The bike is excellent on Highways, city limits and king of drags!! with projector lamps, its king of night touring even!! What more, you cant ask for everything!! Go get that 220 and enjoy that look of riders when u smoke them..

Happy Biking...
