Only the console warranty will be void, you can challagne to Bajaj directly if the SVC guys put you in trouble. Though it's highly unlikely, because in UG3/UG4 digital console is found to be the most reliable of any other unit.
anything soldered can be reverted back, in case if any claims of warranty.

If any one in Bangalore is willing to have the mod on FZ, i'm ready to experiment with Guarantee that the speedo won't go kaput.
