Just like everyone agrees , no matter how good a rider you are , you can still crash. The head , knuckles , elbows and shin/knee are most prone to injuries for that wear a helmet , gloves (with knuckle protection) and a jacket (with elbow, shoulder and back protection if possible). Knee guards are also quite important , if possible wear them too.
After the fall , first thing is get to a safe spot , off the road. If you are with a pillion , ask him to come along , help him if reqd to get off the road. Then look for any visible injuries and sit down for a while and relax. If somebody hasn't helped in getting your bike to the side of the road by then , then assess your situation and see if you can get the bike to the side. This of course atleast 5 minutes after the crash when you are in a stable condition.
Last but not the least , and v.important visit a doc at the earliest
