I could not resist posting this, since there was so much heated discussion about the pricing. I was in NYC recently, and had a chance to walk over the Kawasaki dealership. The on-road price of the EX250 Carb version is approximately $5,600 (Base $4,598+taxes+insurance+blah blah). The insurance is a killer and depends on the age, location, previous claims and type of motorcycle. The Ninja 250 is classified as a Sports Bike in the US, which means that the insurance for the bike might be higher than, say a bigger capacity cruiser bike. Unlike India, where the insurance is calculated on the basis of sticker price.
So the cheapest India price(Chandigarh) is almost equal to the US price, and mind you, the Ex250 US is a carb version. So apple to apple, we might be actually cheaper.
