Is this faded paint area the newly painted part or is it the old paint itself..?
Ya, polishing or teflon coating will help but that fade would keep coming back when the coat wears off which may be 4 to 6 months..
If its the originally painted area, its possible that this happened when your bike was being repainted for those other scratches.. and it was hidden under the polish all this while..
