Get a good quality rain suit - I have invested in one and I desperately wait for the rain in Bangalore which never comes. At times I leave the office at the time when it is raining - the traffic is sparse and I get home in less than half the time. And 100% dry of course.
When I look around in the rains, I am amazed there is not a single brand which sells affordable rain suits for motorcyclists. One of the random business ideas I keep getting nowadays; I should put that into action!
