I don't feel this is entirely accurate and people who write articles such as this must not write based on friend's experiences and hear-say.
I ride a pulsar 220 and it was completely stock until today, I had bought an extra large kn filter, iridium plugs and plug wires.. totally it costed a little over 4k. But believe me I CAN feel a difference in the acceleration of the bike, I don't know what difference a dyno will show but I did feel the bike was quicker and I'm not misled by the extra sound. That's the only thing I didn't like.That horrendous noise like an obese red Indian farting or like a Honda Dio...both are same!
The key is not to expect much and you will surely find some gains which only the person who rides the bike regularly can feel. These mods are the first step in my quest for more power. Perhaps in a month or two I will visit Joel and get some serious mods done. But all the same one cannot term these beginner level mods as useless.
