This is total rubbish. They should only enter the date of delivery/date of invoicing in the service manual. Isnt it written as 15th August in your case??
If it is then you've got nothing to worry. Just ask them to shut up and do their job. Oh if you do do this, you might want to stay there while they service your bike.
