Well . . m also a new bee here.. but as far as I know, flame propagation inside the cylinder is affected mainly by the design of the combustion chamber. . . The more the air-fuel mixture swirls inside the cylinder, before the spark ignites the mixture(without quenching the spark), the better is the combustion. But i still did not understand the exact purpose of side gaping the spark plug. . I dont think it will affect the flame front propagation. Well, i would definitely like to see more replies on this.
