Default TRIUMPH UNVEILS MOST POWERFUL CRUISER

Triumph have unveiled the first production bike to break the two-litre barrier, the Rocket III. The Rocket III is powered by Triumph's fuel-injected, in-line three cylinder engine with a cubic capacity of 2294cc. It puts out a whopping 147 lb.ftf torque at 2500 rpm with 90 percent delivered at a mere 1800 rpm.

This stunning triple digit number means, two-up, it will accelerate faster than pretty much anything else on two wheels, pulling 1.2g in the process. Maximum power is 142 PS (140 bhp) at 5750 rpm.
The Rocket III, in either Jet Black or Cardinal Red, will be available in Australia around April/May 2004. Recommended retail price is still to be confirmed. You'll find specifications of the new Rocket III,

The 2.3litre Rocket lll cruiser ... a bike that will launch from the
traffic lights with twice the torque of today's top Superbikes at just 2500rpm.
Acceleration is rated at 1.2G and with a 240-wide rear tyre the Rocket lll will need Velcro on the seat and handlebars to keep the rider planted!
Due in the showrooms next year, the Rocket lll will be priced at
around £14,000.
Sorry guys i can't get larger image.
