BSA Hercules Cyclothon

A day of fun and entertainment

Race Categories:

1. Elite Ride: The elite ride is for professional riders. A 50kms ride that will test not just your speed but even your endurance. Ride with the peloton or break away – this is where the best cyclists across India will compete. Cash prizes await the winner

2. Amateur Ride: The amateur ride is for the aspiring Armstrongs! It is even meant for cyclists who believe that they can push their limits and challenge the pros. The amateurs too get 50kms to prove their worth! Only Kids above 18 allowed to register

3. Teen Ride: The 5kms teen ride is our effort to promote cycling as a culture amongst kids. Imbibe the message of 'green environment' and 'fitness' to these youngsters and get them active at a young age.

4. Fun Ride: This 2kms ride designed specifically for kids and will be held at the inner circle of the BIEC. Have a blast and cycle with your friends.

5. Green Ride: Cycling is great for the environment and for our roads. Reduce traffic congestion. Reduce oil consumption. Reduce pollution. As we say 100% cycling; 0% traffic! A 25kms ride planned specifically for the concerned citizens of Bengaluru. Come ride for the cause and enjoy the spirit of cycling

6. Corporate Team Ride: A special ride for the corporate. Ride for your organization and make your presence felt. The corporate with the largest number of entries stands to win a special honour.

7. The 10K: The easiest way to enter the cycling fraternity, the 10K ride is for the aspiring cyclist. Designed specifically for those excited about cycling but not confident about their stamina matching up with their passion. Join up, enjoy and find if you have got what it takes.
How do I bring the cycle to the venue?
No Sweat, Just leave your cycle at the expo when you come to collect the bib (and your goodie bag) we will transport it to the venue and get it back for you. We will update you with details of the Expo.
How can I reach the venue?
We will organize a shuttle service to ferry you to the venue and ferry you back. We will inform you about the pick up points at various parts of the city as well as the timings. We want you to have a blast.
Entertainment
At the event venue be entertained with special stunt riders, dancers and other entertainment. A blast for the whole family, special food courts and great music. Come to the venue to participate and have fun.
Can I rent a cycle?
We are making provisions for having some cycles on rent, but if you have a cycle we suggest you show it off on TV.

I enrolled for the Corporate Team Ride, but no bicycle is available for rent on that day!!

Had a fantastic outing at the BSA Cyclothon 2009 on NICE road...Being a part of the Corporate ride and riding the rented BSA Mach(Damn I missed my loyal Hero Hawk) I envied all those Cannondales, Bianchis, Treks...

The result of some showers yesterday, today we were blessed with a fanatstic cool weather...Light breeze, cloudy skies, butter smooth tarmac and fantastic company and riding atmosphere...ideal for cycling...
Had a great time and met a lot of the Zero Emission Riders...

PS: The Bullet Machismo 500 with the camera and video-rec mounting following you on the ride was a pleasure
