Smile Guy from xbhp wins the Yamaha photo contest

Came back from my trip to Leh, this is when it happened. With others I also uploaded two of my pics from my Leh trip as it was fresh in my mind. Maybe due to office or work at home, it all just skipped of my mind that I had participated in the photo competition. 1st Oct that is when I got a sms from Yamaha stating that my pic is one of the four shortlisted photos.
I was excited and told all my friends and family to vote. The result was to be declared n 6th Oct. and as there was no correspondence from Yamaha on that day so I thought it’s all over.
On 9th Oct one of friend, who was still trying to vote, and he figured out that I have won the contest, he called me up at 2330 hours and gave me the news, I checked out the website and I was like ‘OMG’.
I had won the grand prize, a 7day 6 night trip to Japan. And now I am more excited because I get an opportunity to visit the Yamaha Factory in Japan.
Recalling everything I see that my pic was a bit special because it was admist one of the most difficult terrain to ride and to be true how that has happened is all because of you guys, I still remember my longest ride before going to Leh was Delhi to Chandigarh and I had planned to take my Leh trip on the Scorpio with others. But I got all the knowledge and courage to do this because of all of you guys. This place is very special for me, where I consider I have grown from an amateur to sane and responsible biker somewhat similar to how a child grows up at his home and that very home is always very special for the kid always!
Thanks guys and yes thanks to Xbhp!

- Amit

Congrats Amit !! You deserved it!

An R15 next to the frozen Suraj Tal is not something Yahama India would come across often
