My journey with xBhp so far….
Hi all, We already well into the New Year and I know it’s a bit late but hey, better late than never! I’m not a stickler for new year resolutions, but one resolution I did make was to post more stuff on xBhp and what better than my first experience. So here goes nothing: It all started one lazy boring summer afternoon at work: My friend had sent a link to a website that he claimed was the best when it came to anything on two wheels in India. Being an avid biker myself, I was intrigued to find out what all the hype was all about I was pleasantly greeted by a fantastic homepage, highlighting the most interesting topics and most of all, fabulous pics!! It was like the creators had read what was on my mind!! I immediately registered and started browsing all the topics with keen interest. The emphasis on safety and proper riding etiquette made me feel right at home. The threads with the super bikes were simply awesome and the content kept me glued to the screen for hours. I remember fireblah’s posts on his ‘Blade and I could almost feel myself being there while his bike was being delivered. The news updates were/are so current, it makes all the magazine info very redundant. Being an xBhp member, it makes little sense to subscribe to magazines and save up some money for some better investments. So, thus xBhp became my homepage with 7-8 visits everyday. Infact, most of my friends started calling me xBhp! Then came the time when I was looking to upgrade my ride. Having zeroed in on the R15, I started scoping various used bike dealers, for a good deal. My logic was: the ssc guys are anyway going to screw up the bike, so why pay the premium? Reduce the carbon footprint by opting for a used bike, and save a mammoth amount of money in the process. Missed the ‘New Bike’ experience, but then hey, I didn’t have to go through the agonizing run-in period either. ‘Second hand bikes are good so long as you know the owner and the vehicle’s history ’, so said my dad. With the dealers, you don’t know if the vehicle is riddled with problems, has met with an accident or maybe even stolen. So, xBhp to the rescue: 5 min of searching through the classifieds and voila! there was an outstanding offer almost next door. A few quick calls to the owner and within an hour, I was at his place for a test ride of the vehicle. Man the ride was a dream! My mind was instantly made up and the deal was struck. One of the best deals I must say; a very low mileage bike, immaculately run-in and superb bargain price. ![]() xBhp to the help (2): The R15 is an excellent handler and the way you hit ton up speeds in a jiffy is thrilling. But what about riding at night? Endowed with the most feeble set of headlights, riding at night on the R15 is a nightmare. Solution? HIDs. A quick chat with navnish and pronto, my eyes were opened to a new world. Riding at night was never so much fun and safe at the same time. ![]() And now, I wait eagerly to see, feel and hear the Ninja in all its glory, all thanks to xBhp. The popular addage, ‘You meet the nicest people on a Honda’, applies to xBhp as well. Most unfortunate that I’m unable to make it to the Auto Expo 2010 and meet you guys behind the scenes . Here’s ending my humble post thanking for taking biking in our country to the next level All hail “ Long Live xBhp” People please add your experience with xBhp and enjoy the interaction |

Thats very wonderful of you hifisharu to have found both the community and the bike together.Would love to hear more of your postings in the near future.
Well I came to know of xbhp from my old buddy "Biplab Doley" who doen't ride a bike oftently anymore. Its been about 4 to 5 years I have know xbhp but have been very active since the Month of April 2009 after meeting Conrad (Lilmc/Bink), Owangdi, Branden, Brian, Ashim, and the rest of the members and associates of xbhp and together we have started reviving xbhp in Meghalaya again with lots of activities and rides/tours etc. I love to be a part of this community and honestly speaking I remain glued to this community more than any social community sites. Most of the latest news and updates are found in xbhp forums posted by members with valid source of information. Till then keep writing and posting. Cheers the Biking Spirit! Safe Ride! and enjoy your Biking! From: Jdan(Devilboy) Shillong.
