Default Its now or never.......Think once

Dear all,

It feels really great when i think about achivments we all have earned by our efforts. We have gone on international level and achived fame. We have covered long distances on our two wheel monsters, takken them to the extrem limits, have tasted the air at almost 300 kmph, done carzy stunts, ridin slowest and the fastest two wheel machines,etc.,etc.,etc.,.............can say that we have takken our nation to a next level of biking world.

But..........now the time has came to think about ourselves, about our future. If we all want lots of fuel to feed our monsters and enjoy them till our last breath, if we all want to enjoy decent roads covered with beauty of nature, if we all want to be the achivers.....then we have to think now.

No, no, no,.....we must not think, we must do.

Lets do some thing to save our beloved Mother Earth. She has given everything to us, now its payback time. Lets do something and inspire people to do same as we have been inspiring to ride. Lets give one day from our long week to our Mother Earth.

I have started doing my part. I have promised myself that on weekend i will not use my bike, i will use my legs untill its some emergency. I have been doing this for last one month and i really feel healthier as i walk a lot on weekends and i really feel that i am doing my part to save our Mother Earth.

Its an appeal from a human being, from an Indian, from a BIKER. Lets spread the message of happier tomorrow by not just talking, writing blogs, reading my thread and commenting on it. Lets do it.

Just remember ITS NOW OR NEVER........

Regards
Arun Tomar

very true...i do think we need to shift our focus more on to saving fuel and making our environment more greener.Things like switching off the engine in signals are the least bit every person should try to follow.
why not even reduce the amount of racing thats done? like in F1 or MotoGP..
The mileage of an F1 car is 1.3kmpl Formula One car - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Maybe reduce the laps or number of cars??Am sure it would have some positve effect on the long run...i think its fine to compromise a little on sports to make our environment more greener.....

very good initiative and good go.......
hey many people are doing their part already........ and they are inspiring others too........ there was an XBHP-ian member who takes his bike to office on regular basis....... later his name appeared in local newspaper for his initiative........ he became slimmer n fit....... there was another initiative where XBHP-ians started planting trees whenever they go for a long ride........
as for me........ I stay near office(it may cost more)........ & I use public conveyance until its utter urgency........ another fun part from my side is to board any bus or train and go for a long ride........ get down wherever u want & enjoy that town........ but once in a month(at least), I go crazy and take my Rampyari for a long, very long ride......... I dont rip tooo much, but on highway its different case........
my friend these small things doesn't matter at the big picture......... like jigsaw mentioned about the F1........ that becomes part of the big picture.......... similarly any idea about how much fuel is consumed by the Defence of every Country when they go for field work (that too every year)........ how about the courier & cargo company......... they use low bad quality spare parts and bad fuel, just to earn profit........ even if the mileage of a truck is increased by 1kmpl, it'll be a lot, considering they travel thousands of kilometer......... even what about the city transportation system........ the politicians buy all low grade buses(not even CNG untill specifially told by the court), creating pollution and giving low mileage........
I'm not here to contradict you or to confuse people........ I'm putting my view........ change start with every step........ we need to take one extra step......... like we can atleast force the city transportation system to go for CNG buses(however small the town maybe)........

Totally agree with u all guys..good idea Even if we cant avoid using bikes, making sure it is emission controlled is also good..i have seen lots of bikes and autos emit smoke greater than an industrial chimney..
and as u all know it doesnt stop with Fuel consumption..little things like switching off ur pcs when not used..subsribing to electronic bills, thus saving paper..using ur ACs in sleep mode and lots more can help in significant ways..

Though I am in all support of green things, I have bit reservations.

1. Water: Yes, water needs to be absolutely used with precaution. I stop people wasting people, many times inviting a fight! It is worth it. But when the local water tank mafia brake the water pipe line and waste lakhs of liters of water just because people should buy their tank water, I think in one day all my water saved in lifetime is spilled manytimes!

2. Not using bikes, fine. But I am sure one autorickshaw and or one bus with black smoke rising from its ass pollutes much more than 10s of motorcycles. Again the benefit is completely gone just by a handfuls.

3. I save electricity each day, never keep a fan or light on when not needed. But be it a rich man's spoilt brat's marriage, and all the area is lighted up like christmas tree!

The point I am trying to make here is, we are focussing on small things only. Has anyone here read the book 'I will teach you to be rich'? It contains brilliant advises in finance, which can be applied even here. The author says, that people save pennies on small transactions, and then throw all the savings on huge buys like car/bike/houses etc. He suggests rather than sacrificing small enjoyments, go for big kills, and save a lot of money in buying big purchases. Find good deals, bargain hard, search alternatives in huge purchases, so that you can enjoy your life in bits and pieces without sacrificing small happinesses.

Same thing here. I believe the major wasters of natural resources are 10% or even less of all population. And here we are completely ignoring them and focusing on micro users to contribute!

I am not saying your idea is wrong or anything. I am just putting forward a way to think about this problem, that first fix the big holes, the small leaks can be fixed any time.

Getting ready for incoming fire!
