Default Shopping for Xena Disc Alarm lock (for Ninja 250R) on eBay

Well I have never had an opportunity to use eBay for any of my needs until now.

I recently bought the Kawasaki Ninja 250R and i am interested in buying the Xena Disc Alarm lock - Model # XX10. Here is the link to the Xena website.

I came across this product on eBay.com. It is going for around USD 89/-.

Need valuable inputs, advice and tips from folks who have used eBay that will resolve my below doubts and help me make an intelligent and well informed purchase.

1. Is it safe to use my credit card on eBay? I dont have a Paypal account.

2. What shipping options do I choose? I dont know what the difference is apart from what is mentioned on the shipping details. (please see screenshot below).

The product will be shipped within the USA so my parents will get it with them when they return in a few months.

3. Sellers reputation is 90% good. Is the reputation index trustowrthy?

Any other tips and advice will be greatly helpful.

Hope to make the purchase in a couple of weeks.

No fees is there to make a paypal account . you can make a paypal account for free , then add funds from your CC and transfer to the seller in ebay .

use shipping that gives you a tracking no. so you know whats the progress on your delivery .since you are shipping it within the country , there wont be any major hassle .

more questions on delivery etc you can ask the seller himself . and do read the negative responses if any of the seller by the buyers.

No worries dude, i buy from eBay all the time. But yeah i do buy only from buyers who have a higher percentage of satisfied customers

Although getting a Paypal account is no hassle and comes with no fee attached but you can even directly use the credit card if they accept internation credit card (if you are using one issued by an Indian Bank).

90% sounds good to me, and in case you dont receive the item, you can quote that to eBay and the money can be refunded as they have a "Buyer Protection" program.

Bottomline: Go ahead

@ Dear Aryan, Thank you for approving this topic.

Thanks to everyone else for the replies.

One query that i still have is :

1. Free Shipping - US Postal Service Priority Mail Small Flat Rate Box (3-4 business days).

What kind of shipping mode is the above? Do i get a tracking number with my order? Is this mode of shipment reliable? The product will be purchased and shipped within USA only.

If i understand correctly, the product is sent by regular US mail (for the above choice) and is deposited into the mailbox. Please correct me if otherwise.

Thanks.

Postal service in US is very very reliable so dont worry. Since it is free, i dont think it will be having a tracking number but the post will reach in as many days as quoted (depends upon when the seller ships the item).

Normally the delivery man/women will keep it outside the door of the address mentioned and ring the bell if the container is big enough to not fit the mailbox.

And dont worry no one will touch your package even if it is lying outside

Damn. Thats sad. Did you have purchase protection? If bought through Paypal you can raise a dispute against the transaction and get a refund.

Was this product to be shipped within the US or international?

From US to India. But this was not ebay...so I ordered (and paid) again and got it delivered in the US (from where I picked it up).
