i had attended the Pune Stuntmania Rockathon. when i was about to leave.....i found a free wash coupon hanging on my bike. It had Mtv written on one corner and pulsar written on another corner. it was mentioned on the coupon to exchange it at any of the authorized service center for a free wash. i found this coupon hanging from all the bajaj bike in the parking area. Yesterday when i went to my regular service center and presented the free wash coupon they denied and said they have no information from company. since this was my regular service center and i know the manager/owner, he then called the service incharge for pune region who sits in wakdewadi company showroom, but he too denied that any such information is available. so that free wash coupon was denied.

did this happen to any other pune xbhpian, was this a cheap marketting gimmick or what?

Glad you took it light; had it been on someother person who loved their dear motorcycle, the ad would've created a negative impact. Yes, horrible marketing strategy or poor coordination.
