sorry. dont mean to offend anyone. most facts stated in such forwarded mails and the like have few proven facts, under the shadow of which many not so great things are passed on.
1. indian history is full of kings and kingdoms invading neighbouring states.
2. historians agree, oldest cities are jericho, tiutihuacan and taiyahuanaco etc. 10000+ yrs old.
3- fails me , is it something to be proud of??
7- gr8. many magnificent structures wereerected by then in many countries
8-thats what this whole article is about-" not only are we great , we were the first ones to achieve greatness".
9-many games were invented in many countries.
10- thank britishers for our postal system. : do u know, dak bunglows actually used to house horses, so that the dak carrier keeps changing horses during his journey, and rest at night.
11- largest. but is it the best??
12- most of this wealth was under control of privileged and powerful, read kings. they held on to this wealth as long as there were no powerful adversaries to take it from them. our poor military development and social divides ensured this wealth be handed over to the invaders at the drop of the hat. kshatriyas,not indians, usually fought off the enemies.
