Default The xBhp HQ : need your suggestions!

For 7 years xBhp used to run out of my single room with a single laptop and an internet connection. A few months ago we decided to dream bigger and make bigger splashes for the betterment of the motorcycling community in India. From just a single page in 2002, to a vibrant community we are. But it wasn't enough, seeing the dismal condition of the motorcycling 'media' I decided to give things a nitrous boost. And that nitrous was in the form of Praveer (pkon) who is a bundle of energy and ideas, someone like me, but a tad younger .

Then came the superhuman, SunilG, the living legend who is described by a single mathematical expression - 2.25x3.2, which denotes the man has gone around India 2.25 times, 3.2 million sq kms of its area. The charm of this chocolate biker is well known.

How do I even begin to describe Old Fox. I cannot, because I am not anywhere near qualified to be able to, but since I have to write this down it will be sufficient (though boringly redundant) to say that he is one person that I want to brain drain into my own, just the knowledge part though .

Then we have the ultra hard working Nitin Kandhari, our star designer which joined us in the latter part of the last year when we started to expand. Last I checked he had done 80k+ on his old but reliable Pulsar 150. He is planning to buy a Honda CBR250R this year!

We also have another xBhp member who joined us 3 months ago to 'market' what we do to those insane amount of 'corporates' out there. A bodybuilder and a good natured guy, he has big plans for xBhp and for himself, from taking xBhp to new heights to getting 17+ biceps, thats Himanshu for you Our resident Gadgets & Gears model as well.

I still remember the insane server crash / hack that happened in 2008, it seemed everything would end. But god had other plans, that only made us more wary and stronger.

Last but not the least, the hundreds of members who have contributed to us, in some way or the other - we are indebted to you. A lot of you have placed your faith in us, a lot of you lost faith in us, but then thats the way the nature works, but life goes on, and so do we aim to.

What the previous prose is leading us to is this: We are moving into a bigger physical space, with lots of colors and possibilities. A blank canvas - our new 'office' - the xBhp HeadQuarters or xHQ - now that sounds cool enough for now.

To start with I decided to get lots of colors on the walls, lots of vibrant colors. The window pans and even the fans will be painted!

We want your suggestions and help in creating one of the best places to work and 'hang out' for the core team and occasionally a xBhp G2G as well! We could probably accomodate 40 odd people in the space that we would have and that would make for a great and exciting talk session! Here are some ideas that we plan to implement:
  • Hanging (this is Sunil's idea) or just placing 200 scale models of motorcycles everywhere in the office!
  • Have personalized wall spaces for each Bhp core team member where he can paste his photos on all the different bikes and places he goes to.
  • A signature wall, where visiting xBhp members and corporate honchoes and other 'celebs' can sketch a quick graffiti
  • a stri of photos running across all walls and containing the best photos clicked by the core team and another by the xBhp members all over India
  • a place with the world map and flags denoting that we have gone around that country and the scale model of the bike on which the country was covered on
  • a life size replica of ajay debgun on two superbies at the same time (ok, that aa little to much!).
  • a wall with all the 250+ press releases and articles on/about/by xBhp in third party media so far
  • bean bags, a treadmill etc.

Need more of your wacky and wild suggestions to make this the best place to be!

That's a FANTASTIC news!!!
Do not forget to have a library for atleast racking up the xBhp magazines.
I'm sure Nikhil (niks_devil666) will have some great ideas to pour in here.
