Default BMW: Efficient Dynamics: Close Encounters!

What you are going to see, you have definitely heard of and seen on television, in discussions and over the net... the introduction of the BMW Vision, the Concept of Efficient Dynamics.

It is indeed a car that actually runs. It looks like a prototype. But it runs, has been tested and is on it's last stages before coming out soon in production.

I had the privilege accorded by BMW to get up close and intimate with this ultimate machine that I have ever seen at such close quarters... a very impressive experience that left me speechless, spellbound and wanting for more...

I will let the photos do the talking for now...

Does this even look like a car?

The BMW Vision Efficient Dynamics is supposed to combine the exhilarating powerful experience of a Series M and the efficiency of a small urban car with extremely low emission and a consumption of fuel of as low as 3.6L/100kms which translates to 27Kms to a litre!

I would die for those lines!!!

And for those rear view mirrors!

Those wheels have a braking system that generates kinetic energy renewal system (KERS) that was used in 2010 in some of the F1 teams. This car uses this technology to recharge the 98 Li-Polymer batteries during a journey!

The Vision is powered by a 3cylinder 1.5 litre turbo diesel engine and the Li-Polymer batteries and delivers 356Bhp of power and 800Nm of Torque! And the maximum speed is electronically limited at 250Kmph! The acceleration is phenomenal at 0-100 in 4.8 seconds!

Overall cruising range at 700kms!

They have tried to create a "Green" car and have taken a lot of steps in this direction. They are not using high solvent paints but replaced with water-based paints, electrification of the powertrains amongst other steps.

I spent a good 2 hours in close company of this lovely machine. I did not want to leave... It was a wonderful experience.

Thanks Shivanshu.

And I forgot to add that they are planning to have a worldwide launch in less than two years.

And that they are trying to make it affordable (relatively speaking). It is supposed to be priced close to a Series7.

thats great news, with this slick design, environment friendly, affordable price, and above the BMW reliability factor I think they are looking towards the very right vision of success.... All the Best to the Beemers

More like 80 Lacs INR! Roughly half of what you estimated. That is roughly the price of a 7.

80 lac? in india? OTR?

the 7 (740 Li) series costs about 1.13 crore OTR in bombay.

hehehe... we're discussing the OTR road price of a car that'll be launched in 2 years... on a biking forum.

whatever the price... this car will make every car out there look like frickin' bullock-cart.

Thats really a mind-blowing machine with ultimate specs and for the looks I have NO WORDS, seriously.

And, with an Indian approach, It can be considered as a VFM product with a great "kitna deti hai" stat

Lightbulb

this will CHANGE the way, the attitude, the perspective with which we look at cars or any machine that run on wheels.

A MASTERPIECE...
