not to be mean but once a bike is stolen by a professional you wont see it again. they remove the stickers and any identifying marks and the bike is usually taken to another state / broken down into parts.

Beware if you took insurance from ICICI bank, they dont pay up easy. Give them the documents they ask for. In a month or two they will ask for the same again and if you dont give in time, will say the file has been closed and they wont pay.

If that happens threaten to take them to insurance ombsudan and they will relent. Took me 2 years to get paid for my stolen avenger

Once its gone its gone.

@Lessgravity is right to the point. Worry about your insurance pay ups. And it was already time that you get a new r15 v2 or CBR250r. Cheer up everything that happens bad is not all bad.....find the goodness in it....

Only a Miracle will bring a stolen bike back. But they seldom happen

Don't get depressed, its not the end of the world.

Just proceed with the Next step,

Launch an FIR right away and produce a copy to the Insurance company asap. Do not let them lose, I suppose its an R15 not older than 1.5Yrs. So your depreciation value would be good.

You should be getting at-least 75% of the insured sum. Just Book the new R15 and re-claim yourself.

I know a guy who got his Pulsar 180 back. The incident happens in Gurgaon where one of my Friend's friend found that his bike is stolen. Police recovered the bike from a local thief. The bike was recovered from Sohna. We came to know that CIA was chasing him for long time.
The Point here are there are some local folks active in DELHI-NCR especially Outer areas.

Forget the R15. get the money from insurance company and buy the new R15 or you can wait for the new Pulsar and the KTM.

Don't loose hope brother. Mine is a Mumbai case,My yellow R15 was stolen and found a month later.

It may sound impractical but keep checking the police stations of areas you suspect, because what happens is mostly these thieves strip off the number plates, and even if the bike is recovered its kept lying at the police station for months or even years. Now the officials in my case didnt know where chassis number and engine number was located ,so it took them 5days from the time of recovery to inform me.
Also when i was there at the police station , there was another guy whose bike was found after 2years , so just keep your fingers crossed , and get along with the insurance procedure as well
