Its just another avenue for Kingfisher money to be blown up. I don't quite see how its something for indians to feel a bit patriotic

The trials and tribulations are all nice and good. They put in 150million. Which is just not enough to maintain even midfield domination which is what they failed to do in 08. Just to give an example, Raikonen gets paid in excess of 25million!!! Our Fisichella is too old to even bicycle let alone F1 racing. You will only see him continue to crash. But for that price you will not get any better. We acquired Ferrari's suspension, that might change some aspects but not much.

Karthikeyan is fine doing A1 instead of driving a dangerous piece of outdated scrap metal though he lost some major sponsors. Atleast he is racing and not doing some silly tests like the way he did for a whole year for...??? do not remember.

As far as the F1 being held in India is concerned... it is just an MOU. Which only means Ba*lls! Nothing is decided so far. And nothing is happening. Earlier it was 2009, then 2010 and now 2011 and as this year will draw to a close it will go to 2012.

But yes, at least, as a third world country, we have a F1 stable.

Karthikeyan, was a one lap wonder, he would perform well on qualifying and fizz out in the race. He never earned any respect despite the entire country rallying behind him. Besides that he is "all talk, no show" kinda guy, he talks to much for the talent he pocesses, I still cant forget Indianapolis, there were 4 drivers on track, guess who came last. damn!... I guess karun chandok is a better, not sure

Despite what people say here in this forum, Vijay Mallya is a hero.... Step into UB-City in Bangalore.... What ever he does, does it in style. There is none in the country who lives life like Mallya does... Boobs and Booze.

Force India has just completed a year. F1 is a big deal, it takes loads of experience to even earn a point, not just winning races. Even cash rich Toyota took good 2-3 years to get to points winning position, remember Force India almost got into podium in monaco had kimi not bumped into sutil. Force India are doing right things, Im sure they're are gonna win some points this season. They had a lot DNF last season, hopefully Mclaren engine should hold good this season.

All we can do is support some one like Mallya who adds glitz and colour to our country.

Someone like Ross Braun should help! Ron Dennis is retireing

Do not want to hijack this thread but a few things ought to be straight.

Karthikeyan may or may not be a one-lap wonder. But he was driving a bullshit car. We all know that. They do not have a stable anymore.

Secondly, it takes a LOT more than just "Boobs and Booze" to go and do good in F1.

But "Boobs and Booze" definitely add a LOT of glitz to this boob starved country for sure. They will not stop the DNF label.

hmm kenda cool down.

Well what i want to say here is that, some people got money and they are fulfilling their hobbies and making some money out of it as well.

So no Indianism here in having the F1 team coz mallaya has money and is spending his way...
