You bet . I just wanted to convey my thoughts to people who consider it as a biking show.
Totally agree with you.
Edit: Just to clear confusion my post wasn't in reply to Sunny's post

Just because a person who owns a bike isn't considered a "biker" similarly just because a TV show has bikes shown in it shouldn't be considered as a biking show.
I feel roadies isn't a biking show at all. It is just another reality show which has youngsters in it (which is why I think it is so famous).

But yeah you cannot deny the fact that it is kind of gateway to the glamour world and is one of good platforms for those who want to make their careers in that field.
+1.Couldn't agree in a better way.

Only wish was that they could have used better helmets and atleast a jacket for whatever riding they does.

It was "said" doesn't mean that that it was actually done.I guess the total riding that they had done was around 30-40kms or even less for shooting purpose and all.

Same as above so the bikes will last easily.

Bout safety, they had a session with the HH folks who gave them tips on how to handle the bike on various terrains. They showed it for 5 mins. and the Roadie 5 runner upp (Nihaaal) gave so many invaluable tips!!.

Q. Do I think that MTV "Roadies" is an entertaining show?

A. Yes. Its innovative too. Much better than the Ektaa Kapoor produced "Saas Bahu" dramas or the countless dance, song, comedy competitions.

Q. Do I think that Hero Honda has gained from MTV "Roadies"?

A. Definitely yes. "Jo Dikhta hai, woh bikta hai..!!"

Q. Do I think that MTV "Roadies" has given birth to bikers who want to "ride on" just for the sheer pleasure of riding..??

A. I have my doubts.
According to me, the "Roadies" wannabe is more after the fame and adventure (??) that the show provides with all the tasks/back biting and exotic locations. But yes, the show might be able to lure a young prospective buyer into a HH showroom.

Like someone said a few posts back, "Roadtrip" on NDTV GoodTimes is a much better show on biking.

I really wonder why this show is actually called what it is. One of the worst shows on television, right now, according to me. But, then I guess there is a reason why it is so popular that it is in it's 6th season!
seriosly .. frankly speaking .. even i thought of starting a thread .. but i thought .. bikes were just for show as HH has sponsored them
i love watching that show just because of the tasks and [ chicks] just kidding ...

PS = if you saw roadies 3 there was a roadie called AJ .. well he is my brother .. and i am serious

i agree there mate...the show is called " The Roadtrip", and though the riders ride bullets and thunderbirds, the way of hosting the show and route negotiation and biker attitudes are superb a must watch for all.
