I think there should be reputation counter on the left. By this, one will know who the other person is! I mean is he a pro sbk rider or just a regular commuter.
This will reduce a lot of flaming.

Please add "Piracy/ Linking is prohibited" to the above list.

It is NOT mentioned in rules, and yet a MOD infracted a new member on this issue...

You ever know how depressed members may get on being infracted? I know it from an another site ...

My only point is --> Rules should be properly framed, before you infract members. Sorry for talking "seedhi baat".

just ma' 2 cents, because I love Xbhp, and want to see it improve ...

@Samarth: It is totally understood that any link to any movie/ song/ race/ games/ etc. is surely not allowed here at xBhp. Still, I'll add this in the header post so that members might get a clear idea about the same.

However, I am also aware of the fact that there are a very few members who actually read this thread before posting anything (I wonder if there are ANY who actually read it). So, I don't see ANY benefit coming out of this. Nevertheless, I'll edit the header post and add this as a pointer.

As for getting depressed on being infracted, it is just a forum, one still has the real life to attend to!

I can understand that. I have an idea. Sunny bro can EDIT these rules, adding all these points here :-->

This appears when one registers to the forum, and agrees to them.

He can do so, in ADMIN CP, if you PM him to do so ... Just copy paste the new edition of rules adding up these points too...

This way, all rules would be at one place... & new members won't break rules "un-intentionally" ...

If you seek an explanation for everything, then well, I guess there are a 1000 reasons to point your finger(s) at a MOD! It is on every member to follow these. We, moderators cannot really keep a tab on each and every thread/ post/ member.

Is it so darn hard to understand!?

Whattttt ????? Next thing, you'll want it properly mentioned that rape/murder is not permitted also !! Its a known an implied fact that piracy and intellectual property right violation is an offence. This forum and others is just a reflection of the real world and anything not allowed in the real world is not allowed here too.

Sorry to be the devil's advocate here, but agreed we all kno 'IT' happens !
But pls keep it to a minimum, and to PMs and delete the links, messages after the intented use is over !!

Coz, you never know when a production company etc might decide to actively persue voilators!! In that case they might even drag xbhp to court too !! No really !!!

Motogp.com has in the past actively persued youtube and others !!
Hope you understand !!

"Use of common sense" thats the imperative word !!

+1.

And please, leave the MODS alone. People don't understand that moderating thread is not an easy job. And they are not doing it as a full time job. So before shouting "Mods", see if there is anything YOU can do about it. If it is out of your hands, thats where mods step in.

@ sukant: It is necessary, because in some sites, link posting is allowed... I'm myself a moderator in such a site.

The new member coming to your site, you never informed him the rules, and expect him to follow them?

---
@ pranay: All I'm saying is I expect all rules at the Registration page, including Smiley, language, etc. Everything in 1 place.... It's possible.

Alright, this nonsense has gone far enough.

Do you know about things called "Implied terms"? Do google them up. Not everything has to be spelled out so that ignorant folks can be spoon fed. It is an implied term that responsible web sites do not promote piracy. End of discussion.

Also, that website that you moderate for is little more than a piracy hub. I took a look at it and ALL I saw there were links to pirated games/ songs/ videos etc. Trust me, that place is NOTHING to be proud about. NOTHING.
