My Dream Bike Company :

This has been my dream for a Long Long time

My Bike Company
Name : Thunder Group of Companies
Year : Anywhere in Future
Bikes offering are only in three categories 200CC , 600CC, 1000CC
All the bikes are made in INDIA and of World Quality with the following Specifications

Thunder 200 FI
Power : 25bhp
Max Speed : 180KMPH
Mileage : 40KMPL

Thunder 600 FI
Power : 92bhp
Max Speed : 300KMPH
Mileage : 25KMPL

Thunder 1000 FI V-Twin
Power : 130bhp
Max Speed : Unable to test in Indian Roads
Mileage : 12KMPL

The Company will have only one showroom in all the important Cities of India........Showroom name : ThunderZone

The showroom will be located in a Larger Land Scape, Fully automated Service Centre - and there are no Nonsense Stupid Service Engineers available and everything in the Showroom is fully Robotic....

The customers will be provided a ATM Card when Buying any bike from the Co, If the customer is giving the bike for Service - no need for any cash payments and no need for any other ATM card....Thunder Group has thier own Saving Bank Account - so they need to transfer the money to the Thunder Bank for to pay the service charges....
Service of Thunder Bikes will be done by only robots and there are no Men Touching any of its parts.....
Service centres will be accompanied by a Company Owned race Tracks where the bikes can be test driven
Sales of All Riding gears, Oils and even Fuel will be done by the Company
All the companies bikes will future with Company Owned Bike Fitted GPRS System, ABS, Music Player(seperate Bluetooth Headphones provided for the rider in his Full face Helmet and for the pillion in his Helmet), Reverse Gear
Companies bikes will be tracked unde the GPRS system and the device will be connected to the Main parts of the Bike - so if the bikes involves in any accident, Theft, or any other abnormal Signal to the bike will he delivers to the Companies Control Room and desired actions such as using Police force, sending Ambulance for Recovery, or guiding the Rider to get the Correct Route will be done

Service Procedure:

Customers will park the Bike on a Moving Robotic Road and inserting the ATM Card into the Robotic Silo for Service Request area ...The Robot checks the Bikes Last Service Status and take the bike for service....
Automated Robotic Water Wash for the bike will take place at first
The Bike will be De-assembled - Everytime the bike is been given to service the whole bike will be Deassembled and all the parts of the Bike are checked for Wear and tear....All the screws and nuts will be replaced in each Service....Disc pads, Engine Oil, Low light emitting Bulbs will be replaced....

The FI program will be reloaded according the to New Inventions of the Company then and there for Improved Performance and Mileage...Air Filter, Paper Filters will be cleaned in no Time
Engine Compression Test, Brake Pad Test, Emission Check, Cold Start Check, Battery Level Check, Sparkplug Power check, Engine Paint Finish check,
Electrical Relay Check, Tyres Thread Damage Check, Tyres Air Check and all the other checks will be done on within Few Minutes of time
Then the Bike comes out of the service area and again enters into the Washing Robotic Silo....

The bike will be Coated with Wax in all the parts.....and comes out Shining
All the above work will be done within One Hour of time....

After Service the Customer can take a Spin of the bike in the near by company Owned Raing track for to test the bike....the cost of the service will be taken from the Customers ATM.......Every service will have 30days of warranty period so in the 30 Days customer can contact the company on the GPRS Device for any issues - so that the Company engineer will resolve customers issue in thier Place free of cost....

Not bad. A 600CC doing 300kmph at 92bhp! But I also realise that unless I am a hard core racer or if my riding qualities do not qualify me as a racer, I would not be able to buy these bikes proposed by you!

WOW !!! I praise the level of company standards you have set and would be happy to see this becoming a reality.

OK now back to practicality:

1.) Thunder 200 FI

These are some figures the top level companies around the world would struggle to achieve. I am not sure how are you going to achieve it. Even if you can achieve then I am sure the looks are going to take a beating.

2.) Fully robotic service center: The kind of cost involved in producing such robots is gonna be massive. Forget the operating cost. The production cost is gonna be so high that your customers will end up at some local SBK mechanics. You do need human intervention. No robot can judge the level of service needed for a bike.

3.) Race tracks? There will be so many local, legal, social and political issues.Even if you manage to get pass them do you mean there will be a race track for EACH service center? A better and feasible option seems to be a zonal race track assigned to a number of service centers. But there is a big "If".

4.) I don't expect the Director of the company to confuse between GPRS and GPS.

5.) So this means virtually there will be a production line at every service center + a Service line. Again too much to be done.

6.) The highly optimized Honda Facility at Hamamatsu, Japan takes 3600 seconds i.e. 1 hour to assemble one bike. So....just for your information.

7.) This is a great idea.

I would encourage you to dream but at the same time have something practical. I am not saying it is impossible but I am yet to see it being possible. All the best !!!

but why a V-twin 1000, why not an inline 4.......i guess that would be better..I must say though..amazing imagination, i wish it does come true some day.
