Some random thoughts I had recently :
The continuance of health and human society is to a very large degree is dependent on our schools. And therefore, just to be a part of the common, I was a bit busy with my studies for a couple of weeks. I was busy enough to neglect some important things. Yesterday I was riding away happily on my 40k old Ete when suddenly it started misfiring! Black smoke with a couple of weird noises made me worry….I got off and tried inspecting. I realized that I had forgot to top up the oil. Suddenly I heard the roar of the famous Yoshimuras and the two white HIDs coming my way. The neighbour with the 400 from Honda just stopped by: The neighbour: any problems? I : Sorry, do I know you? The neighbour : I’ve seen you adoring my bike a couple of times. I : yea, its cool…and nope, no problem. Thank you. He clogged into first and went off. But his lines made me think all through the day. “I’ve seen you adoring my bike “….Yes! I did adore his bike, and will always do. And so will I to every other machine that has two wheels! But ‘WHY’ is the actual question? Why do I like the curves and edges of a machine painted in blue and white and black? Why do I persuade my father to buy me a bike than running around to get a girlfriend like my other buddies? My thoughts may owe their origin to love and interest. But is it actually this simple? Since a couple of days I’ve been experiencing all sorts of weird observations. I’ve started riding faster( faster as in better) than before. I like my lid more than my hair I call red as Ducati Red.… …...What is happening? You might think of this as just normal biker behaviour. I don’t. How far can a 17-year-old ‘biker’ go in terms of biking? Why me? .I haven’t seen much of my similar year olds gazing at v twins. I haven’t seen much of my similar aged using the Termignoni logo as the desktop wallpaper! All this and I don’t even own a bike!!!!! I am very happy with whatever I get to ride….and if I am so satisfied and happy with all the commuters, I can’t even imagine myself riding a litre. Some of you might think of this related to genes and other biological stuff, but I can’t call my dad as a biker!…so how is it in me? Is it only psychological or an extra type of hormone J? I have never done a trip, which would classify myself as a tourer, nor have I tried my hand at stunting. I am not a racer and nor am I a mech. So where do I lie?…a Student Biker, perhaps. It’s a queer feeling. Nothing satisfies me more than riding all day around. Nothing satisfies me a s much as looking at the two wheeled beauties(and the beasts, of course). I am fully satisfied and apt to whatever I have. Don’t I need more? Hence, have I attained nirvana or is it just the beginning?

Very well written article there. Deep philosophical questions to daily life activities seems to bring so much out of so little

The Ride has just begun for you my young friend .
Nirvana is just merely an understatement . the feeling of being content is always short lived. the journey ahead is where all the adventure lies. your first bike which involves a lot of pain staking convincing .. the first few thousand kms of utmost restraint. the next few thousand kms of wrist wrenching ripping.. that strange noise from your bike and the diagnostics involved.. more convincing for longer tours.. and finally up to the point where you come close to start wanting more.. then it starts all over again..

hmmm.
you, boy, live in an era of overdose. overload. its easy to be wanting what everybody else wants. its easy to want em just because u know everyone else desires em and so, u d be cool doing them litre bikes and all. many , rather every person out there is like that only. what separates you as a true biker/enthusiast is that you like it when you are on any ride, even an un-jealousy-provoking ete(erno??). your blood boils if someone degrades your ride. you adore the honda 400 but hardly got bothered about who the owner is. you feel true love and that love makes you do things out of the routine . so what if the love is for things 2 wheeled!! at times i am boy racer, at times i am a tourer, at times i just spend a whole day washing and polishing my ride/car..... just the day after it was washed at a service station, so that i can clean those hard to reach areas the garage guy didn t bother about and there actually are times when i park my bike out in the sun... place a chair 10 feets away, sit, sip coffee, read, call... all the while looking at my bike doing sweet nothings. do you have name for those last 2 types of guys??? i bet no one has and i bet i am not the only such guy.... u ll find lot of such eccentric ppl at xbhp and if you can relate to them.. well... you are a true blur rider, call it by whatever name as if you care. the fact that dictionary has no term to describe us is the last thing on our mind. all i know is i am gifted to have had this life. wouln t be this good if IC engines weren t invented . but then on hindsight... maybe riding a horse is big fun too. cheers!!! |

After reading all of this, all i can say is, the journey has just begun for you my brother. A symptom of what we call biker.. :P thats a fact. You dont need it to be in ur genes or someone around you to have that influence on you. It just happens by itself. At a time when people didn't knew what Benelli, Bimotas and Augustas were, in my 18s I was collecting the histories and posting their wallpapers in my room.. Lol sorry to drift from topic.. All i wanna say is, things for you, are gonna change soon my brother, Bikes will become more important than girls . Sounds of engines will feel like music. The feeling of being on a bike will feel godlike It is just the beginning my friend....
