Cool INSTALLED PROJECTORs on MY UNICORN

As many know, i was working on installing projectors on my Unicorn couple of days.
Had showed a sample picture earlier in a thread here. Well that was just a sample.

Today I am done with the final (almost) setup on my bike. Sticker work is pending to give a neat look after that (probably tomoro) will upload pics during day time.

I have installed 2 projectors of skoda and 1 of Benz.

Skoda's contain H3 55w Halogen and Benz's contain 100w H1 Halogen.

Regarding wiring, as my bike was running on DC i have connected 1 skoda's to low and benz's to high beam.
The other skoda's is running on AC (left out wire after DC conversion).

Cost involved.

Projector - 1200rs
Unicorn cowl + Reflector - 400rs (in junk, i didn't want to ruin the stock)
Clamps + Headlight cable - 200rs
Silicon Gel - 120rs
Time spent - Priceless

I had thought that Unicorn's old headlight cowl will be straight fit for new ones but the bracket that holds the new cowl is different so had to get custom clamps as well.

Well now I have to save for HID's

IMHO who ever planning to put projectors, unless you plan to put HID don't opt for projectors.

THINGS PENDING...

2 X 35w H3 HID's
APE's RR Unit for complete DC conversion.

Hope I do it soon.

Brilliant job! I am sure these would KILL the darkness, especially during the night rides, on the highways. How effective are they? And also, are these projectors of the P220?

Hi Aryan,
Thanks for the approval.

The projectors are from Skoda and Benz. They are killer for on-coming vehicles (specially the truckies) but road clearance for me is not very good right now because of the bulb am using is not glowing to its max.

What i feel is , projectors without HID is waste

lovely job there...!!!

But, how do you think the 100W bulb would draw enough power from the battery? Even if it does, how long can it sustain on the battery?

Did you make any mods to that section as well?

With the Benz projector with a HID, are you sure it wouldnt be an overkill for the battery to handle??? and are the Skoda's n Benz's projectors so cheap ???? did you get the genuine stuff from a dealer or any after market accessory parts shop?

Hmm.. not too bright right now, but I m sure HIDs will take care of that. Also, ensure proper placement of the HID bulb. These opticals are very finicky about that.

Not yet touched the electricals yet but will be doing soon. Till date i was already using Osram NB i.e 55/60 and had no problems with it. So 55w bulb shouldn't be a problem. 100w even i have doubt so won't be using regularly.

What ever the projector is but the HID wattage is same na . Btw i wont put HID's in Benz projector as it doesn't ve any shield, it will kill the oncoming vehicle. It is already a overkill with 100w bulb, cant imagine HID in it.
