Default ZMR color and buying queries..

For all the noobs who have arrived, leme keep this straight. First introduce yourself so that we know you better.

With regards to the colors I have seen all in person...So, first up the white. Its becoming a very popular color and since its the one featured in the ad, people want it as its exclusive. Sure is and is a big head turner. Go for it if you can do the maintenance and polish.

Next best to white is the Sports Red. Its a stunning glossy coat which is given on the ZMR. Makes it look like a fireblade, a honda wing logo on the fairing till the tank will make it stand out! but alas!..This is the color to go for...Looks red hot and the ZMR looks much much more appealing and stand out types, which it does in white too...So yes, if not white, Red for sure.

Black: this time its the glossy black and it looks kind of sombre in black. Rather than impressing it doesnt! And anyways our cities are pretty dusty, so wouldnt prefer black unless you are high on upkeep habits.

REst: havent seen the yellow, but I think it shall look great as well, as its a much brighter yellow. Will really look kickass. Blue shall look good too as its the ZMA-R vibrant blue.

With regards to mileage, well I would like to pinpoint again it depends on how are you finishing the running in period. Do it up as its mentioned, why have issues later on?! It will go a long way in having a machine which shall run much better later on.

Karizma is not very far from P220 in power; it is just that P220 has slight advantage on power. 0-60 in 4.5 sec and 0-100 in 13.8 sec are very much respectable.

220 scores higher on top end figures-AFAIK P220 DTSi has 132.5 kmph topwhack as opposed to ZMR's 125kmph true top end or R15's 130kmph true.
ZMR is about refinement, sophistication&pampering the rider at every instant, whereas P220 is about raw muscle power&brute force. Each person takes his pick!
I don't wanna start a comparo here.

Sarvajit, agreed that P220 has more power, but do you think karizma is without power? I replied to a post which said 'without power'.

A top speed difference of 6-7 km is very very marginal. I would like to correct your satement as 'ZMR is about power, refinement, sophistication at every instant (remember the power is less than P220 but not very less). You are riding an R-15 which has same specs as karizma and more or less same 0-100 figures, and you think r-15 is powerful bike than ZMR?

Arrey Anna, I forgot to type the power word&you took it to heart! The name Karizma was synonymous with power! While buying my R15, I had actually planned for a ZMA-R, but I knew an upgrade was around the corner. If the ZMR would have launched a year&a half back, I would have been riding it now.
Believe me, I had typed this in my post&then removed it: A difference in topspeed of 7.5kmph does not matter much, but of course it does matter how the bike got there!
I think I have summarized my preference-I was, am&will be a Karizma lover, given a choice on the highway I would blindly choose the ZMA/ZMR over my own R15!
Not that the 220 is a bad bike, but I'm a fan of the Jap bikes due to the refinement&quality they give.
About the R15, though it is very fast, it cannot compare the torque which the 220s give. With a pillion on a slope, the difference is profound. The big boys are hardly affected, though with single riders on board, a good rider will mostly keep all 3 running at the same pace.

+223

imo if you are looking for a bike to do a ride like K2K once a year & still bring a grin to your face everytime your right hand goes itchy, nothing like it...also add to the fact which has been stated so many over here, With the Zmr, in comes the legendary HH reliability.....my take on the ZMR..
