Post MSD spark plug Power cables and bike performance

Hello everybody,
I had put MSD spark plug power cable for my bike TVS Victor GLX 125 and the performance and mileage has been increased a bit.
But one thing to say, instead of NGK Iridium spark plug,my bike gives good result when I use Bosch Twin electrode spark plug.
Due to this power cable, pulling power of my bike has increased but you need that Bosch spark plug. You can gain power as much as you can raise the throttle.
Now speed of 90 kmph also,I dont get any vibrations and I got top speed of 100 kmph.
In case of NGK iridium,to some extent when I raise the throttle,it gains power. After a certain extent, there is no power gain(Hence Top speed remains around 95).
The power delivery is awesome in case of Bosch spark plug.
I can climb the hills in 4th gear with pillon rider.I have tested it at Matheran hill. While climbing up sharp turns and bends,I have to only shift to 3rd gear not less than that.
The whole Khandala Ghat,I climbed in 4th gear and 3rd gear only(Earlier I needed even first gear at some points and second gear when I used NGK Iridium spark plug)
But this Bosch Twin electrode spark plug is made only for Pulsar 150 and Discover 135.Luckily this fits very fine to few TVS bikes like Flame,Fiero,Apache and also it may fit to some 150 cc bikes of other manufacturers.
I got this MSD cable from Mumbai in 800 rupees including delivery charges and Bosch spark plug for 110 rupees(NGK Iridium costed me 550 rupees).

About mileage,I used to get 63 kmpl on highways, now I get mileage around 68 on highway and 59 kmpl in city(I measured with empty saline bottle method) and mileage of 45 kmpl if I drive my bike with full throttle opened around speed of 90-100.
And mileage when I had NGK Iridium,I got slight more than 70 kmpl on highway but power delivery was not so great.

Basically the power cable is of low resistance upto 50 ohms so intensity of sparks produced is more hence better fuel combustion and torque is displayed with no early morning starting trouble.
I think that with NGK Iridium,it may show good results with top end bikes of 180,200 cc and above.
But in my case Bosch twin electrode plug has shown good performance than NGK Iridium

Post MSD power cable

Hello stormtrooper,

I have Ordered them from N1 Racing Mumbai.Total cost 800 rupees(cable cost 650 rupees +150 delivery charges). No problem about trust. You can pay them by online funds transfer from your icici bank account to N1 Racing icici bank account and just write email to the concerned person about transaction details.Thats it and you will get delivery by courier immediately.I got delivery in just 1 day after paying online.

Since You have Karizma, you will get significant performance. With my bike which is 125 cc,It showed good performance with NGK Iridium, but with Bosch Twin Electrode spark plug,it showed maximum performance like power gain and increased torque(more than NGK Iridium spark plug).

Regarding upgraded Ignition coil,I have no Idea but you can talk to Mr Vinay from N1 Engineering.
His number is 09833568190.
You will get more information about ignition coil from him.

Thanks.
Pankaj

Hi! I've a Pulsar 200 - 1.1/2 yrs old n circled 10k K.M

1. I wish to change my Spark Plug to twin electrode Spark Plug of Bosch.
Bosch - Spark Plugs Bosch - Spark Plugs
Which Plug do I go for.....means the Part No of the Bosch twin electrode Spark Plug.

2. Is it necessary to change the "Plug Performance cable" along-with the said Plugs?? if yes thn which Manufacturers' make shd I go 4.

Post Regarding Increasing performance of bike

Anand,
For Pulsar 200,
Try NGK Iridium plugs and MSD Ignition cables
Bosch Twin Electrode gave nice performance in begining but NGK Iridium plugs gives long lasting performance.
Regarding MSD Blaster coil/High performance coil,I have not tested it.
I have ordered it for 2000 rupees and will get it next week in Pune, then only I can say something about it.
The shop owner(Motozone in Pune) said that he will connect/replace it(not sure.He told that at the time of fitting coil,he will demonstrate it and If I like the performance, then only he will sell that coil to me.) with current Ignition coil. This MSD Ignition coil amplifies the pulse created by the stock ignition coil hence producing powerful sparks and since I use low resistance MSD sparkplug cables, strong sparks are retained in combustion chamber, hence efficient fuel combustion, less fuel wastage, increased pickup and significant power gain at higher rpms.
The rest of things I will share with you next week after fitting the MSD coil.I will ask the owner also about how fitting is done to P-200 also.

Yes MSD Ignition spark plug cables are available and you will get significant performance gain. These are low resistance cables to increase the spark intensity. These cables are replaced with the stock spark plug cables of OEM

Post More updates on MSD Ignition

This week I also went to try for High performance Ignition coils from MSD but bad news is that , it cant be put on Victor GLX because GLX has integrated CDI and Ignition coil hence the shop owner after checking my bike's coil was helpless.
Are there any other performance Coils integrated with CDI units?
Basically power gain in my bike is till 7500 rpm that is 10 bhp and I want to make power gain till 8500 rpm so that my bike is around 11.5 bhp.
I am not able to get CDI which fits to my bike and has max power till 8500 rpm

hmmmm
about the cdi
even im looking for a racing cdi
which has no rev limiter

what ive heard is that we cannot simply swap a bikes cdi to another as all dont have similar connecting jacks

so better search for a universal racing CDI

guess no one sells here
i badly want one
