Hope drvmtm or abhijeet can answer my query.
I want to know the output wattage from the regulator for motorcycle models sold in India. Can you provide me these details. The reason is I want to run an add-on DC device that will draw around 3 to 3.5 amps i.e around 45 to 50 watts continuously from the motorcycle battery. Do you think indian motorcycles have spare wattage of 45 to 50 watts when running on full load without posing a battery discharge problem. Also where should I connect the add-on DC device, to the battery or to the regulator output side. Can the battery discharge problem be avioded by connecting the add-on DC device to regulator output side instead of the battery. |

Nice post.. Wish I had seen this a month back.. I was struggling with the battery drain issue in my apache classic after HID was installed. Thread. No solution found for many days.. Had got the relays/ cutouts/ switches connected, tried different mechanics, but of no avail. If I ride for 30 min in the daytime, the HID will work for 20 min during night before going off. Strange problem, somehow I managed these days without any long trip. Now I decided to buy another HID and replace them with the fog lamps in my car. BTW how much does the Ape RR cost?

What about putting in one more RR of RTR on that lighting coil output? Just like existing RR is on charginf coil.
