There tis guy ive talkin 2 in banglore, names aron...n hes in charge of suplin power filters n stuff.....so he waz sayin(from his mail) :->>
"Dear Mr. Ali,

Greetings!! This is Aron Vijaykhar C from MEHTODS automotive, the representaive for K&N in India. We greatly appreciate your interest in K&N filters!!

As regarding your enquiry:

As for bikes we have universal filters that have to be fitted on the the intake side of th carb, with modifications to hold the side panels.

The filter suitable for th CBZ is priced at Rs. 2990/-.

Our Maharashtra network is not in place as yet. However you could get the filter from us directly for the timebeing. You could send us a DD for the above amount in favour of METHODS payable at Bangalore and we will courier the filter to you.

currently we are dealing with the K&N range of air filters only. oil filters could come at a later stage.....

At your Service

redrage, do us all a favour. put your stock filter back on and set the engine rpm to lets say 1000 at idle. now replace with K&N and note change in rpm if any and post here. Thank you.
whats the idea behind that?
if the k&n's offer lesser air resitance than stock, the engine rpm should increase ...

the cover price of the filter is 1900 bucks and the filter is available only in one standard conical form for all cbz's zma's pulsars, one claims 2990 and the other 2440/- i dnt knw how that is possible.... the dealer i bought it from banglore ,i got it for 1900 flat,
Nikil sc: i replaced my ordinary filter and set to 1000rpm and went back to K&N the rpm hunts betwen 900 and 1000..... because i had removed the filter cover box, if i put back the filter cover box the needle still hunts minorly.

so basically, the moral of the story is that the k&n offers no extra benefit in terms of performance over the stock filter.

but i guess it's still worth it, coz it's a one time investment.

any idea whats the cost of a stock air filter?

whats the recommended cleaning interval for the k&n?

thanks.

K&n DOES offr a minor difference in performance provided u modify the airbox and Adjust the air fuel mixture..... No stock karizma can cme close to 145 or do a 100 in 11 seconds nikilsc......
there is nothing as such as cleaning intervals for this k&N and the FILTER SHOULD NOT BE BLOWN WITH AIR AS IT DAMAGES THE FILTER MATERIAL....
u jus need to leave it like that and comes for 150000 kms...
I think warranty is not included... once u put the filter.
