Default LML Graptor - Just Married!

Hi guys,
I got a new Graptor on 29 Aug ..(Black). I go for a ride when i come from office. The performance is good. The ex-showroom price is 49500/-but with insurance and all it went upto 57000/-. I paid only 16000/- in cash and rest loan. Yesterday i had a tiny race for say 100 meters to compare the pickup with a pulsar 150 and hey the pulsar was left behind.(not much behind but it was left behind). Tommorow i will compare it with pulsar 180 and this time i think i will be left behind. Actually the pulsar 180 cant/should not be compared with any 150.. There are some pros and cons and wanted to tell it right now but no time and on top of that the new recruit who sits next to me switched off my pc thinking it was his and i had to re type everthing. Whatever...

I went to the gas station and asked to fill her up. But after 13 ltrs the tank seemed to be full!. (the company claims it to be 17 ltrs). The gas station guy told me that he thinks he can put in some 2 ltrs more but actually it seemed to be full! Is it possible that the company says 17 but is actually 13 or 15 liters of capacity. If that is true then thats cheating.

Congratulations deshmukh...
Take good care of ur bike dont start ripping/ competing with other bikes which have completed their run in..
The manufacturers mention the full capacity of the fuel tank which includes the unusable reserve capacity hence the mismatch

Hope this answers ur question

Dude... technically though incorrect, I suggest you do not screw around suring your run-in period.
Esp. with a 150cc.... youre mileage and pick-up will go for a toss

Hi peeyush and others

MILAGE:-
The company claims 77 kms per liter but when i went to the show room i asked them about it. they showed me a news board with the names of 5 graptor owners in the area. It had their names and phones numbers along with the averages. The top two had written 72kms per liter in front of their names and the last 3 three had 70. I was shocked to see this i never ever expected this i thought it will give an average around 60 to 65 and not more under test conditons. I was suspicious so i made a call on the phone number. the guy told me that he lives in vashi and comes to panvel everday. He gets and average of 69/70. Well Vashi to panvel is a huge highway with flyovers and no signals. One can easily go at 45/50 kms per hour on the top gear. So i think he is true. but i will check the average on my bike and then tell you. That guy also told me that in city he gets an average of 55/56 kms per liter.

PICKUP:-
Well the pickup is good....13.6 bhp!......you will like it. Go and take a test ride.

GEAR SHIFT:-
Graptor has 5 gears. 1st down and others are up...like the yamaha RX 100.....

COMFORT:-
The sitting position is good ....upright and the bike looks tall.

SAFETY:- You will be knowing that the side stands locks the gear shift so until and unless you dont remove the side stand you cant put the bike in gear. This system is foolproof. The graptor has a button by which all indicators/ blinkers go ON/OFF simultaneosly.

Other:- I like the cool blue lighting behind speed and tachometers.
The indicators if bent upto 90 degrees don't break. Go to the showroom and ask them to give to info/demo about the bike. The graptor has a roller bearing or something (cant get the name right)in the gears so the gear shift is very smooth .....no noise during gear shift at all specially the 4th and 5th gear.

The question about the feul tank capacity is just answered by our moderator. (thanks)
and i will be in the speed limit until the bike completes the run in.

Disadvantage

The bike feels a bit heavy. No option of electric start. From the rear is does not look much different from the freedom primas and the silencer is copied from the pulsar..........(this is not a disadvantage)

Only once, but the gear was stuck in between....like when i switched to the third gear from the forth i thought it was somewhere in between the third and fourth gear. i pressed the gear again and it was in the third gear......it has happened only once but if it happens again i will go to the showroom and ask......i heard a pecular noise at that time..i cant explain.
